fuel issue

Ok I'm having a problem. After my car gets heated up which doesn't take long cause I live in vegas and its always like 110 degrees. There is a humming noise comming from the fuel filter I'm guessing. And to make it stop I have to take off the gas cap and let out all the pressure in the gas tank. There is so much pressure in the tank that it takes like two min for all to get out. Any suggestions on what could be causing it. I know this seems like a stupid question but I'm stumped.

The pressure in the fuel tank is controlled by a valve in the EVAP system. Sounds like the pressure control valve is not working, and/or your EVAP canister may be plugged up.
