Fuel Filter Replacement

Is there a special tool needed for the one quick disconnect fitting on the fuel filter or is it just a squeeze type plastic one???

It's just a squeeze clip if I remember right. It's not easy to get off though...much easier to put on.

Yeah the first time is a PITA, and you get gas everywhere, but after that its pretty simple.

make sure you releve the pressure by taking the gas cap off and depressing the schrader valve on the fuel rail..

what I do is take a pair of neddle nose pliers to depress the tabs and then a screwdriver to pry it off. it;s really not bad at all... just try getting the ford internal disconnect filters off I did one today on a ranger... what a PITA
