Fuel Filter
I want to replace my fuel filter today. The T/A has 92k on her and I have NO IDEA if this was ever done. Any links to how-to's on this? (I've checked shoebox's awesome website, but didn't find anything on replace the fuel filter)
Thanks in advance.

It's easy. First bleed off the fuel pressure at the fuel rail by pressing the schraeder valve. Have rags handy, fuel will squirt out. Then raise the car and replace the filter. It's under the car toward the rear on the driver's side. Have more rags handy, and eye protection is a good idea. It should not take you more than about 1/2 hour or so.

this is how i did mine.......
1. drove the rear of car onto rhino ramps
2. I removed my gas cap to remove some pressure (didnt do the schrader valve)
3. took off the rubber hose connected to the rear side of the filter (fuel will come out, but will stop shortly)
4. get a pair of needle nose pliers and sqeeze the metal loop thing that holds the filter in place.....and remove it
5. get 2 wrenches..1 for filter and 1 for fuel line...unscrew filter from line
6. just reverse the process to install
Overall its very easy, but be very careful you dont twist the fuel line like me...
I ended up having to get a new fuel line because i wrenched too hard and twisted and crimped the line. Replacing the line was cake....but cost me 50 bucks at a dealership!
Good luck.....like i said it should be very easy.

Very easy to do, everyone is right. When i put my inline pump in, i bleed off fuel pressure by unscrewing the fuel car, and pushing in the valve in the back between both fuel rails. Do wear eye protection it does splash out , haha got me in the forehead (wheew). Be careful with the lines too ..... that one guy paid 50 bucks for a new line ????? should bought a braided stainless steel line ...... oh well. good luck ?

DO wear eye protection though, gas can cause eye damage and burns badly.
