I've been running an IAT module that reads a costant 37' for 3 years now.Never had any problems at all.
As an aside I just recently put in myTPiS longtubes with custom emissions fittings.
My car's been throwing PO 172 and 175 fuel trim rich codes so I unhooked my IAT module and after scanning it with autotap not only had the codes remained but it was also throwing an EGR PO 400 code.
Upon reinstalling the IAT module the EGR code went away(!)
An unexpected result.
Perhaps anyone else throwing a PO 400 EGR code because of a longtube instal could solve this with the IAT mod.

Drill a few small holes in your t-stat. allows the car to heat up a lot slower.

So if my camaro is on performance mode all the time, what is this other new tranny mode called? the Super Performance mode?

If I push the switch again or turn the car off it reverts back to the original mode,,, takes a longer time to switch gears, softer shifts...etc etc etc..

Just to let you guys know.

Understand?
Hmm... This sounds very interesting. I'm a little confused, tho. What exactly is going on? Obviously I unplug the IAT Sensor from the Intake Elbow, but after that I start getting confused.

- Disconnect IAT Sensor
- What exactly am I doing with the resistor? The Film Cap?

I suck @ teh car electronics.

Re: Free / Cheap Mods ?

Dont put it in a film canister and use a resistor. The only way a resistor should be used is if its in-line. Because on a hot summer day, pulling a hill, if you lug the engine or something it very well could need that 3* of timing that the resistor is holding back.

Relocate it to the bottom of your CAI right above where the filter goes on.

Also, it wont give you any peak HP inless your loosing it through timing. The only free mods that give it more power is descreening the MAF, which is pointless because it can lead to inaccurate results, and the TB Bypass. The TB bypass is worth doing because GM engineers were dumb. Also, deleting the donkey ******* is worth doing too. It disrupts air flow, and pretty much just sucks/gets in the way.

I forgot how everyone was plugging the donkey ******* hole, but I think it was with a Pert Shampoo bottle cause its a perfect fit. As soon as I figure out how to seal that up(And get the time) I will be lacerating the donkey dick off the intake.

Re: Free / Cheap Mods ?

Don't do the resistor mod that is ghetto. Also the TB bypass helps particularly in the summer time when your engine is running hot.
