I cant believe this thread is still alive.... anyways

I got my LT4 KM and installed it. I noticed how my Knock retard nearly disappeared...... and although the car is stock... it just feels more consistent overall.

I would say the LT4 KM should be a standard mod if not to add any horsepower (it really doesnt add any) at least to keep it from loosing any to false knock retard.

To this date my best two mods TB Bypass and LT4 KM. My stock car feels just as good when is hot as it does when fresh started in the morning. Oh and my scanner reading have improved by a lot too... I dont know if its related to the LT4 KM or not but it did happen slowly. I still have two brand new 02s awaiting to go in.

I have the 160* thermo too and I didnt feel any difference then when I had the 180* thermo. At least the lower temp will keep the tranny fluid cooler. Cant hurt.

My 2 cents.

Marvin

I think I will try this resistor mod this weekend. I live in NE where it gets around 90 degrees most of the summer. Will this hurt anything???

I made my CAI out of 4" PVC ducting and a K&N cone filter. Total cost is probably $50 and most of that is the filter (its like $5 for a bunch of PVC duct, $2.50 for the rubber fernco coupler and $2 for the 90* elbow) If you remove the stock stuff, grab the elbow and stick it right above the hole in the fenderwell, you can see where the piping needs to go, and the fernco coupler attaches the pipe to the PVC ducting..

If I had to do it all over again, I would probably use 4" thinwall or maybe 3.5" (if they make it), or even 3" ...the 4" heavy PVC is a bit much for the stock engine compartment

better throttle response

see that useless can of carb cleaner in your garage?....have that old toothbrush you used 3 years ago?..combine them together in your throttle body, spray the cleaner in there, let it sit for a minute or 2, hit it hard with the toothbrush to clean all the carbon out, slip back on intake, enjoy crisper throttle now

the camaro is set in performance mode all the time vs. the T/A that has the option of normal/performance

just changes the pressure in the lines, could be taken a step further with a shift kit, I dont like that idea as my car is approaching 100k
