Fram WS6 air filter?

Tried to buy one but they only give 1 filter for 93-97 Camaro/Firebirds. I guess they stopped making one for the Ws6 and SS cars. I did a search but nothing conclusive. I remember hearing a while ago that a filter for a jeep works but that isn't helpful.

I have a KN Filter but my engine bay is so nice and clean and the filter, eventhough clean, looks black and ugly. I would like to see a big bright white filter in it's place for awhile. And before someone says "KN gives more HP!" NO IT DOESN'T!!! So it's all about visual preference now.

So please, help a brutha out.

Where did you go to? I find it hard to believe they would completely discontinue making filters for the ram air cars.

I just looked in the Autozone Filter manual. It listed all the filters for the car including all the different manufacturers of the filters. So it listed all the carriers of the air filter and there was no other option for an air filter besides the stock one.

I did a google search and it's related to the C4s. On a forum someone asked about a WS6 lt1 filter and someone said that on KN.com the C4 uses the same KNP# as an LT1 WS6. So I will go back and check what a C4 uses in that Autozone manual.

The K&N for a 95 Corvette fits the WS6 airbox. That's what I have in mine.

You look at the astrix on the bottom of the page.
It lists them.
advanced auto and pepboys has puralator.
Napa has the wix and so does car quest.
I use the Puralator filters. They go for $18.00 Part# A44655

Thanks for the tips guys. Hopefully I'll have a white paper filter tomorrow. Funny what excites me nowadays.

I stopped using a K&N a couple years ago when I dynoed 2 rwhp more with a paper over the K&N. Well the end of this summer I went to get a replacement paper air filter from Autozone and they discontinued making them. But they had 6 of them around town and they were selling them for a penny each. I drove to three different Autozones and bought all 6

K&N in my Firehawk air box, as Fred said the ram air/firehawk style air boxes use a C4 Corvette filter.

It fits (used to have a k&n) but the Wix/Napa fit is perfect.

So Puralator or Wix?

I've heard good things about Wix, maybe I'll just go with that.

I looked up a K&N filter for my SS in the manual, it was the wrong size. Simply take your old filter in, open the new filter boxes, they are not sealed, and match it up. Problem solved.
