Found worn Cam bearing when doing cam swap, now what?

The other bearings look good, I checked with a flash light, this one was worn on the bottom because the timing chain pulls down on it.

Now I need to figure out how to put it back in, trust me this one had to be changed. Plus I asked a bunch of guys who had the same thing, & it always was just the front one when they did their rebuilds.

mine had a little brass showing too, not to worried about it. Most small block front cam bearing look like this.

well I made a removal tool & it came out like a charm, why not replace it? It definetly helps, you know what happens when a cam starts to walk??? bad things.

If your old bearing is not out of round, use it to tap the new bearing in. Better make sure it is square. You stop when the oil hole is lined up (I thought you said you knew how to do this )

Yeah I know I just don't want to say I know how then noone replies I want to make sure though 100% even though I made sure when the old bearing was in that it lined up etc.. thanx though anyways

I did it on Aircraft engines, who knows if there might of been something special I would of missed out, again thanx.
