Ok I Intalled the mac's a few days ago and all was great and everything was running fine. I went outside today to give all the bolts a nice little tightening and that's when i realized a tube was getting burned on my driver side it was just resting on one of the driver side primary's. So now i need to find out what this line is. It seem to run up into my firewall or up into the back of my brake booster line. And i think it runs down to my brakes so this isn't good.

I couldn't tell for the pick. Maybe if you posted more picks some of the smarter guys on this site could tell you.

 

I doubt i can get a better picture but i can tell you it run from the Throttle stuff on top of my engine and runs down past my primary tube and somewhere around the brakes it seems like. If you look at the picture there's a metal shield right beside it and i was able to get enough slack in the line to slip it behind that so it defintly won't get burnt anymore. I have no idea what that tube is for but the header melted a flat spot in it but it doesnt seem like it went all the way through so maybe it'll be alright.

 

That appears to be the cable for your hood release. I would just try to run it behind the heat shield if you can get the heat shield loose. Mine is right behind it and even though it is also right behind the header, it doesn't melt with that shield in between.

 

I'm pretty sure my hood release cable is run along side or near my fuel lines. And this tube defintly goes up to the black throttle box that's mounted on the drivers side.

 

Ah, I had a brain fart. You are correct about that. I think that cable is for the cruise control. It leads down to the front of the motor where the cruise control module is located in the spash guard. I think that is what that cable is....

 

looks to me those are your fuel lines. looks to be 3 lines paired together, which would the fuel kines.

 

It's only one line and it's defintly not a fuel line. My 3 fuel lines come out of the driver side fender well. If that was a fuel line that would be kind of dangerous and i doubt they'd ever put a line there.

I got under my car and it does run into the splash guard so i guess it's the cruise control. I guess it'll be ok ? As long as i don't use cruise control which i never do.

 

Yeah its cruise control and should still work as long as its not to far burned, Also how come you never ues it?

 

Probably because i've never been on a long trip or been on the interstate long enough to use it.

 

I put mine behind the heat shield.
