Ford 9"

I was planning on replacing the weak 10 bolt with a 9" eventaully. I was wondering if there were any places out there that sell a 9" setup for a 93-97 F Body. If no setups, what would be the best way to go about this.

Moser sells a 9" for us Fbody folks. Not sure of the price. And couldn't tell you what all is required to build one from scratch. I'm going with whichever method is cheaper; Moser or build from scratch.

Sunray Engineering builds all kinds of Axles. They will custom build anything brakets and all. Call 817 594-9201 ask for Tom Elliston or Lance. They build 1 ton 9'Fords for jeeps and dragsters. Also check out;

Both Moser and Currie build 9-inch assemblies specifically for the torque arm suspension of the 4th Gen F-Body. A thought though.... unless you are looking at 900-1,000HP or more, you might be happier in the long run with a Moser or Strange 12-bolt. Weighs less, has a 3% lower mechanical power loss compared to the 9-inch, does not lower the pinion shaft like the 9-inch, does not offset the TA mounting point, etc. I am running the Strange at 800HP/800ft-lb, and a buddy of mine was running deep 9's with a 3,900# convertible, 950HP and a Strange 12-bolt......
