Unhappy Flood?

My Z was recently in a flood, and got water up in the exaust. It was up on jack stands cause I had been working on it, so it didn't get into the car, but it did get up to the bottom of the doors. The exaust was unhooked at the cat, and it is full of mud and water ran out it when we moved it to clean the garage. Do you think it could have gotten into the motor? The insurance company is coming to look at it this week to tell me what going to happen. Any ideas? Thanks alot!

I doubt it. It would have to have a good amount of force to move it up through the exhaust into the motor. You're probably ok. Just clean out what you can and give the motor a crank. Should blow any residual junk out.

Unhappy

Thanks for the replies. The insurance man is going to come and give it look anyway, just to be sure. As for starting it up right now, I don't think that would be a good idea, it don't have the tranny in it right now. I was in the middle of replacing the clutch and doing some other stuff. Thanks again.
