Thanks OrangeIROC......I know that the bigger y-pipe helped me a bunch.....It really picked up the big end of the track alot....I bet I picked up 2-3 mph with just a better y-pipe......

dude im not trying to pick on you or anything, were all camaro drivers here... alls im saying is that with all the stuff u have done!! theres NO WAY u should even need to worry about a Z06, much less an ls1...

oh and define bolt on! everything is BOLT ON! heads and cam arent anymore of a bolt on than a blower, or a turbo, or a nitrous kit! so YES I DO RUN 10.8's with just bolt on's

Yeah look guys, love my hotcam to death but it definitely took tuning to get into slightly modded LS1 territory. I mean, come on. I've seen LS1s going 12.3s w/ dr's, a lid, lt's and some exhaust. There's another bud of mine on the fl board that is laying down 10.4s on a STOCK LS1 bottom end with ported heads, a cam, and a 180 shot. The trick w/ LS1s is from a roll. Even now, a 12.7ish LS1 @ a 45mph roll w/ me will hang or even pull a fender till I hit that magical 72mph when I'm in 3rd gear and the hotcam builds its head of steam. Even w/ all my mods, there's still intake and exhaust M6 LS1s that are getting close to my traps ~112. Lets not forget that it takes a select few to drive an LS successfully. To much throttle and they light-em up, too little and the LT1s torque puts them ahead till 65+mph. If you're on here saying LS1s are no sweat then try racing one through a large expanse of mph from a stop or a roll. Even w/ a 3000ish stall on my car, by half track, a lot of LS1s reel in a huge distance that I put out in front of them.
