I raced one of my friends last night and even when he got a length jump on me...I still came around him pretty hard and was still pulling at 120+....I got rid of the 2 1/4 y-pipe and it helped tremendously......I just got to buy some tires and go to the track!

Yeah well you don't race LS1's around here....I've seen a TA go 12.8's with just tires......no mods.......The guy I was racing ran a trap speed of 110.....with just a lid....LS1 cars spraying.....that's about a trap speed of 120+ around here.....The hotcam is too small for power like that. I need a new cam! or maybe my car is just a piece!

 

WTF? dude are u kidding me, with all your **** you should be high 11.0's!! im at 5200 Ft Above sea level here where i live and my buddy with his 97LT1 auto, gears, hotcam, exhaust, hooker lt's, intake, and rr's is pulling 13.1's here! that would be like 12.1's where u live! i pull consistent 10.8's HERE in my 95LT1 so dont tell me about i dont race ls1's around here crap. we have plenty of ls1's here, i see them in the rear view all the time im not trying to be a **** im just saying that if i were you i wouldnt be bragging to people that your barely pulling on ls1's with all the S*IT you have done cause plainly said thats pathetic! i think u have some tuning issues or something

 

Dude....My car ran a 14.2@101 with just longtubes...I believe the car only has 12.7's in it now....I have PCMFORLESS tuning....maybe it is ****ty tuning...but I have seen LT1's run around here and they were not even close to what you where running.....I don't believe people that say they run 13.1's or so with just coldair, exhaust and gears.....maybe gears really help a lot but i don't see it dropping me .8 of a sec......Like I said....maybe it's just a crappy car......And I wasn't braggin...I was just happy but there are always freaks like you that try to get people down because you have a freak car.....I bet you run 10.8s with just bolt ons...

 

i dont know about that i have to disagree.

i ran 13.7s stocks and and drop .5 with new clutch and 4.10s. and can cosistanly now beat my buddys 2001 ws6 who ran a 12.8 stock.

I have a real small y-pipe too..but I could beat my friends ls1 that trapped 109 on the highway by a about a fender length (mods in sig minus gears, shifter, ET streets)..He is now cammed and has LT's. I wonder how much a bigger y would help then??
