I was wondering if its possible to edit a pcm tune to de sensitize the spark retard instead of just lowering the maximum allowed. If I didnt have any real knock retard before a cam, can I assume that I still won't have any after? I am pretty sure its just knock retard from the SA rockers (I have a stock KM too).

What percentage (aprox) of each degree of spark retard subtract from horsepower? I have about 3-5 degrees WOT above 3,000 rpm and I was wondering if this is a significant horsepower robbing factor.

I have LT4 headgaskets but I dont think that really increases the compression ratio past 10.8:1 which isnt much more than stock. I mainly just wanted to decrease the quench distance.
