Few questions about pcmforless???

I have a transgo I want to install when I do the converter. But I was wondering if the pcm program will work well enough to make me happy. I've heard that B&M program that boosts line pressure is bad. Is this the same thing?

Also I have the mods in the sig., adding a 3000rpm vig. and Jet Hot LT's within a couple weeks. Should I go with the tuning or wait until after I get gears(plan on 3.42's), which should be my next mod when I find a rear with stock gears and full breaks. Figure it will be easier to swap the whole rear than do the gears myself, and I need all new rear brake hardware.

I don't know when this will be though and I want to get the most out of the car when I can. The 60 day reprogram...is that if I install stuff within that time, or if it doesn't work right? Besides $50 bucks isn't much to get a reprogram for gears.

Thanks a lot

Yeah, but eventually you will mod something else and need another update. 50 dollars isn't bad, but that is half the cable. Why don't you just get the cable (100 last time i checked)+ email tuning (50) + unlimited updates (25). Now your at 175 and set for life versus 150 total including your gears when chances are eventually you'll need something else. Even if you have to move your PC out tothe garage, just something to consider.

BTW, i think thhats a smart move, picking up someones stock 3.42s for an auto.

Thanks for the input. Anyone else?

On a side note I have a desktop PC but my window is right next to the computer that is then again right next to the driveway. I don't know how long the cable is but if I could get an extention or something I could stretch it out there. I would only need like 6-8 feet I think, maybe 10 to be safe. I'm not sure how user friendly the software is. I can run computers but I'm not a programmer. Is it self explanatory? Cause I thought about that route.
