Thumbs down Fed up with this bolt!

Bolt behind the P/S pump that connects to the head. I've tried everything, I think. Through the pully, different extentions and what not. Can't get a socket seated on the bolt at all with a wrench on it. Tried box end wrenchs with a pretty good anlge on them. Still nothing.

do you have the power steering pump off?...its pretty easy if you do, usually, and don't strip the threads on the power steering pump bolts when u put them back on, i did and its turning into a pain to fix...

yea, its just a plain jane 14mm-9/16th. Just remove the two 10mm bolts from the PS pump, and remove that bolt..

P/S pump is still on, I was hoping I wouldn't have to take it off. The 10mm bolts have been removed from the pump, so it's loose. I just can't get anything in there to get the 9/16 bolt out.

I just had the 2 PS bolts removed and stuck a rachet/socket in there. Just pull the pump out of your way and jam the rachet in there. It'll go!

That's what I'm about to do. But I need to drain even more coolant out of my block first. Can't wait to get showered in coolant yet one more time!!

I had the radiator off last time I had to mess with mine so it was pretty easy from the top. I'll be digging back into it tomorrow probably, I stripped the two bolts for the power steering pump at different times, stripped the second one earlier today (well, threads were messed up but holding, finally let loose today grr)

i had my pump loose pulled to the side a little, and the hose that goes to the t-stat off so I could fit my socket wrench and extension. Not too hard. you wanna talk about a stubborn bolt kevin..? need I remind you of my rounded head bolt
