'93 Z...3200 stall, 4.10 gears, MSD 7AL-2, Moroso CAI, Splitfire plugs, "Blaster" coil, Taylor 8 MM wires, Hypertech chip, 26x10.5" ET Streets on Weld Draglites...No power adder/full weight/exhaust manifolds...I went 12.82 @ 106 MPH. That was with 93,000 miles on a completely stock LT1.

12's All day long? With that combo, we (3 different drivers) went (12) 12.9 passes, (2) 12.8 passes, (1) 13.1 pass, and (1) "driver error" 13.6 pass at the EFA event at Cecil County last year.

3600 stall
hooker long tubes
csi water pump
bfg drag radials
lost some weight.

Car went 50 something passes between 12.6 and 12.8 with a best of 12.5. all mph where between 105-107. That was with a stock cam. Then we put the smallest cam we could find out of a tpi engine, the came doesn't even brake into the .500 lift. and the car went 12.3 consistantly. Stock gear still. It can be done easily with bolt ons. good luck to you on your quest.

woah woah woah!! smallest cam you could find on a tpi? was this bigger then the stock cam or smaller. would like more info on that. i love it when small cams produce fast runs.

The Grape of Wrath series was done trying to keep the car 50state legal. So they used shorties and kept all smog equipment, but one thing that boggles me is that they didn't bother tuning the car. Had they went with long tubes, some additional bolt ons, nittos, and even a mail in tune from pcmforless, they would have gotten 12's with alot higher trap speed than the 102 they got after every mod. To me, the money spent on suspension work and 3.42's was a total waste. All they needed was a higher stall converter and the rest engine mods.

'Grapes of Wrath' wilted on the vine, as far as I am concerned...

They really didn't finish the project [at least according to the 'survey' post here started by Hunkins months ago before they started the project...]
All the promises by Hunkins left with him I think..
Still a few good articles, tho..
