Angry Fans still won't turn on!

Ever since I finished my hot cam install, my fans have not been comming on at all. I tested them by grounding the leads at the PCM harness and they do work when I jumper them, but under normal conditions, they will not turn on. The temp guage works fine, so that tells me the sensor in the head is fine. If my sensor in the water pump was bad, would the fans not work at all. It's a new WP, but the I re-used the old sensor with 70K miles on it. I'm gonna swap PCM with a buddy, to see if it went buggy, but I doubt it cuz the car runs fine except for the fans. I'm prolly also gona replace the coolant temp sensor, since it's easy and cheap to do. Any other suggestions?

In the mean time, how can I rig my fans to stay on constantly?

EDIT: Also, when I did my cam install, I removed all my AC equipment, excpept for the black assembly that attaches to the firewall, the old connectors for the pressure sensor and compressor are just tied back, to I need to do anythign to the old connectors, could removing my AC stuff effect my fans operating??

when my fans quit working I had a bad relay in the fuse box. To keep the fans running at all times I heard you can solder a wire to 2 points of the relay. good luck

The temp sensor in the head is for the guage only....the one in the pump is for the fans. Maybe you gotta bad one in the pump.

Nope...it ain't the relay's or fuses...I tested @ the PCM harness and they turned on just fine. For some reson the PCM isn't telling them to turn on.

Just put in a manual fan switch for now. I know you have seen all the threads about 'em. It does the same thing as the test you did by grounding the blue and green wires to the relays.

Do you have a link to a write up to wire the fans so they just stay on all the time? I don't want a switch or LED's or any of that fancy crap, just a temporary band-aid till I find out what's wrong.

On all the time is a little overkill, IMO, but if that is what you want, just use a Scotch connector and tap a wire onto the drk grn wire and run it to ground. That will keep your low speed fans (or primary fan, if you have the 2 relay system) on all the time.

Would there be any negative effects from turning them on all the time?

If you decide to go with the manual fan switch, PM me and I'll give you a hand. I did mine a couple weeks ago, looks real clean and very easy to do. Saved me money vs buying the SLP unit.

Besides the wear and tear on the fans, the pcm turns the fans off at a certain mph so they don't impede air flow. They are not usually needed above 50 mph or so.
