Well I just got a 1994 z28 m6 that had some body damage. I got it all fixed and the check engine light was on so i plugged it in and got the 43 esc module code so I put a new knock sensor in cleared the codes and the check engine light went off and it didnt throw any codes..... but after I did that the fans quit working. what could cause them to not kick on? temp sensor? and if so which one? the one on the water pump or the head?

 

Water Pump for fans
Drivers side motor for gauge

 

Fans don't come on until 226 degrees. Have you verified it is reaching that temp?

yea i made sure it was getting warm enough i sat with it running and it got to 240 and they still didnt kick on

 

Did you verify the temp with a scanner? The PCM does not use the gauge temp to tell the fans to come on.
