Parked it, it started getting warm again.

Put the relays in, fans kick on and engine cools down.

An hour later, with relays still in I drive the car. Fans aren't on, so I drive around and I park and leave the car on. Temp goes up and fans kick on like they normally should.

I think everythings good now. Drove it this morning (cold) and the fans stayed on the entire time again....
Dude you need DataMaster and a AKM cable so you can see whats going on with your PCM. Maybe your AC switch in dash is stuck in the on position...

DataMaster will allow you to scan all your sensors, your ac on switch etc. It will show you if the PCM calls for 1 and 2 fans to be on or off. I would of ripped my hair out by now without it. Whats left of it..LOL

Yeah, I did a search of reliable scanners and found an old post of someone buying an Auto Xray AXR-3000.

Well that was years ago and the only one I've been able to find I believe was the AXR-6000 which is 276.00

Disabled vet, unemployed, and going to college has left me broke so unfortunately I can't buy anything just yet.

I'll take a look at the datamaster though and see what I can get rid of to buy one

TTS DataMaster download is free, at least for the first 20 uses. All you need to get is a cable:

Thanks for the links!

I was under the impression that datamaster was something else (like a hand-held tool).

Last car I owned was an OBD-II and I used a Diablosport Predator Tuner for datalogging onto my netbook as well as tuning/etc.

Problem fixed itself!

Still plan on getting the cable though, I'd love to be able to tune my car. I tuned the hell out of my last car even though it was boosted and OBDII.

You can't tune with DataMaster or any other data logging program. You need tuning software like OBD-I versions of LT1_Edit or TunerCats.

Gotcha.

Cable via AKM is still a Go though right?

Btw, how much different do you think it'll be tuning the LT1 (when the time comes) as opposed to a boosted 4-banger on meth-injection?

Car prior to this was a boosted PT Cruiser. Had an AEM wideband, autometer boost gauge, DSP hand-held, N2MB boost box/controller and alot of mods to the car.
