Glitter coming out of exhaust?
Glitter coming out of exhaust?
My car hasn't run for 2 years. It has a problem where it shuts down when it gets warm. Last night I put a battery in it and it ran about 5 minutes wouldn't restart when warm. I took the battery out to reset the codes and put a battery in. Today I also replaced the coolant temp sensor and it ran great for an hour, I shut it off and re-started multiple times while warm/hot and didn't have a problem.
After an hour it was still running so I shut it off and walked behind the car and it looked like glitter in the exhaust and on the floor behind the car.
I attempted to re-start the car and the check engine light came on and it won't re-start.
I have replaced Opti(GM from Cromer), ICM, Coil, Wires, and coolant temp sensor.
WTF is this glitter? Its metallic, but not magnetic. Engine sounds fine when it does run.

Re: Glitter coming out of exhaust?
Catalytic converters typically use platinum, rhodium, palladium, and cerium. No titanium, no gold.
