Failed Emissions! Help...

I failed emissions by a little bit.. but in both HC and NOx. Was wondering if anyone could help me out? My CO's were very very low though.
Driving tests are in g/km.
HC
Limit: 0.5000
Me: 0.5846
CO
Limit: 9.3200
Me: 0.2079
NOx
Limit: 1.2400
Me: 0.6643

From what I've been able to read up on the car is running a bit lean by the readings. Mod's are in sig... I have not changed the timing at all in the car, though I do have SVO 30#'s with the injectors set propertly in the PCM.

I've replaced darn near everything on the car in the last few years.
EGR, Plugs, Wires, O2's (twice), Opti, IAT, Fuel Pump, CAT etc.

Any ideas?

You must have made a typo on the NOx.... looks like your value of 0.6643 is lower than the limit of 1.240?????

Woops yea it was 1.4199 not 0.6643. I was surprised I failed given how well i take care of her and how much has been replaced on the car.

Its odd to fail for both NOx and HC. Generally, if its running rich, you will be high on HC and CO, and low on NOx. If its running lean, it will be high on NOx and low on HC and CO. Being low on CO and high on HC and NOx is almost contradictory. Might be pointing to a weak cat. Is your EGR system still functioning? That can cause high NOx if its not.

Hmmm

-I had the CAT replaced less than a year ago right after I put in my new exhaust.
-I've had my EGR Valve replaced about 1.5 years ago trying to fix a flutter I have thats only noticable cruising around 2000 rpm when accellerating lightly @80km/hr. Replacing the valve did nothing to improve the problems (still present now).

Perhaps I have a bad EGR solenoid...? Any idea's on how I can narrow it down from here Injuneer? Anything else it could be on top of this (Overtight Valves)?

Thought about that actually, the aircare place i go to is actually just outside my work (i can see cars going in and out all day) But.. i would like to find out why its not passing just for my own car's sake. If it's not running the way it should, i want to fix it

Re: Failed Emissions! Help...

UPDATE:
Well did a bit of wrenching in the today trying to see if I would spot anything obvious in the engine bay.

1. One of my exhaust manifold bolts on the drivers side was loose. All the others were nice and tight. Torqued it right down again.
2. Found an exhaust leak! Not your typical though, the metal elbow fitting which connects the AIR System to my exhaust manufolds was leaking (a good bit!) at the point where the tube can rotate. When the engine was cold I sprayed a bit of watered down pinesol on the area and started the engine up. It was huffing air out a pretty good bit!
3. The hose which goes from the top of the Passenger valve cover to the throttle body looked like it was popped out a bit. This may have been due to me in looking for the other things in the engine bay.

Does anyone think these would be the likely causes for my emissions readings? Or, are they too minor to have caused too much of a problem for the PCM and the real issue lies elswhere?

why 30# injectors? basicly stock engine. what is the F.P. in lbs.?
what is your air/ fuel ratio? Check with a scanner how your O2 are reacting to changes engine RPM. this might help in determining wether or not they are functioning properly.

Re: Failed Emissions! Help...

by the way, other things that will effect the emmissions test are air leaks on the intake side. check vaccum readings. Do you have a "high flow' cat? i have heard of that effecting O2 readings. good luck!
