exaust leak= running rich?

exaust leak= running rich?

Would a header exaust leak cause your car to run rich?

yes. the 02 will pick up the extra oxygen and call for more and more fuel to be added to the trim

well that might solve my drop in gas mileage after doing my headers...

You will get the same affect with misfires..... also a problem with headers and burned wires. The O2 sensors see the unburned air from the misfiring cylinder, and start adding unneeded fuel to the bank.
