everything else stock, what cam is a good choice for everyday?
i am getting my engine rebuilt but i dont have much money on top of what it'll cost to have it rebuilt so i was just wondering what cam is good for everyday driver? along with the cam whats some other things i should get like lifters and rockers? thanks.

if you want a good, cheap everyday driver cam get the Hot cam kit. You get a cam, springs and rockers for $500. You will need a better timing chain thats about 200. There are better cams out there but that is just about the cheapest set up.

It depends on if you want a "cam" sound and how important that is.
If you are not that interested in a lopey idle but want a 10% increase
in horsepower, check out the Crane 227 and GM 845. The hotcam
will have a bit more lope if that is what you want.
