EVAP purge solenoid ???

EVAP purge solenoid ???

Can the evap solenoid be deleted or not? Thanks

Sure. When you remove the purge solenoid, you can remove the carbon canister from the rear fender. But you have to leave the line from the tank to the canister open to provide a tank vent, and cover it with a "filter" so nothing can get into the fuel tank. You may notice a strong fuel smell at the rear of the car on the driver's side. You will also not be burning the fuel vapor that the canister collects, which means you are now throwing that small amount of fuel away.

you will get a code/SES in all years for the missing solenoid. You will get additional codes in the 96/97 OBD-II cars.

Why not add important info like the year of your car, engine, tranny and any major mods to your signature? Helps people answer your questions more accurately.

i deleted mine by accident, i had so much going on at once i just forgot to put it back on

however i never got a code for it, dont ask me why because i should have

and +1 on adding a sig
