Evap code P0441
Evap code P0441
Okay I previously had code P1441. So I took off the canister, blew out the line from the vaccum switch to the canister with compressed air...and I put a new canister, vaccum switch, purge solenoid, and also replaced the hose that goes from the solenoid to the switch. I cleared the code and now 2 days later I have P0441. What I've found in a search says it's a bad solenoid, but I just replaced it with a new one, so..?? What else could it be??
Thank You

For the sake of being thorough you could check the coil resistance of the new solenoid. I'm not 100% sure what the resistance should be. I believe approximately 15-20 ohms. A service manual can tell you for sure.
After that, you might check the connector itself on the harness to make sure a pin hasn't pushed out of the connector causing an open in the circuit.
If that all checks good, check for an open in the circuit between the harness connector and the pcm. You'll again need to consult a service manual to see which connector and pin location this wire goes back to.
Hope this helps.

Check the 15A "actuators" fuse in the fuse box under the hood. If you do have to check the PCM connection, there's a pin out of the connectors here http://shbox.com/1/4th_gen_tech2.html#1995_pcm_wiring, about 1/4 the way down the page. Look at connector D.

Have you checked the vacuum hose from the solenoid to the side of the throttle body for cracks? Have you verified that you have the two hoses on the correct connections on the purge solenoid?
If there was an electrical problem with the purge solenoid, he should also be getting P0443.

It happens. I had the same code, turns out I ripped one of the evap hoses. Replaced it and no more code.
