Re: Engine Trouble

check your connections to make sure everything is plugged in. If it was running before the head gasket I doubt the opti or coil would suddenly go bad in the midst of the project. make sure that the coil wire is on and the iginition module is plugged in and the opti harness is connected on both ends.

Re: Engine Trouble

Check for spark at the coil using a plug and plug wire. If there is none there, check for 12 volts at the coil. If there, check ground on the black wire to the ICM. check 12 volts on the pink/black and white/black wires at the ICM. Last, check for 1-4 VAC (use the AC setting of the meter) to check for signal on the white wire at the ICM while someone cranks it. Somewhere there is the problem if you don't have spark.

Re: Engine Trouble

You didn't do anything near the rear of the car did you? If so check to make sure that the connection for the fuel pump didn't accidently get disconnected. It's on the driver side of the car underneath between where the rear seats and the fuel tank meet. Also you might want to check the fuel pump relay which is underneath the that little spot that you rest your foot on.
