My 94 trans am Lt1 has given me loads of fun but alas it has become very tired. We found a LT1 from a 95 Impala SS with tranny for cheap and did the swap. With some adjustments that were needed like the pullys didn't line up exactly and had to be switched after it shredded the belt on start up. everything seams to be working fine except when turning the enfine over it takes 4-5 trys before it catches. Consistantly! i'm not that mech inclined on electrical stuff. So my question is could something be off in the way the starter gets the signal from the chip in the key? At first it had to be jumped from the starter to start then we started checking the harness under the dash.to make a long story short,WTF! She starts though,should I just be happy with that?
