You need to find out what it is loosing when it stalls and if when it cools down it re starts or if it re starts right away. But it would be helpful to know if your losing fuel or spark when the vehicle stalls and dies and then we can go further from there. It is fairly common on any vehicle for ignition parts to fail when they get hot ex. coil/module but it is impossible telling what it is you have going on without more information.

Very easy to scan the 93 for codes, using a paperclip.

Courtey of Shoebox.

The real question is if he is giving the car away a lot cheaper because of the problem. It might be something so simple as the icm getting hot and you buy the car cheap and have an easy fix. You could also tell the seller the way to retrieve the codes and give them to us, to see what might be wrong.

I understand it's not your car.... I read your first post.

He won't let you scan it for codes? Or he won't do it for you? Either way, I'd be suspicious.

Pass it by. 93's are stinkers any way. If you are dead set on getting an LT1 than find a 94 or 95. But find a scanner that works with them first. That will be the trick.

Does it have a cat? Mine did the same thing, and that's the reason I got it so cheap. It would crank fine, but after a few minutes you could look under the car and it was a distinct orange glow coming from the cat. Knocked the guts out, and it worked fine.
