Electrical problem, shoebox?

So today my driver side window decided to stop working. All of my switches are fairly new. The button to make the passenger side window go up/down works, the locks and mirrors work, just not the driver side window. When I press the button, I hear a clicking noise under the instrument panel. Any idea what would cause this? If so, how much and where do I get it?

Thanks all....

Sounds typical of the window motor. You might want to test the motor directly by jumping power and ground to it's connector.

Damn, guess the door panel is coming off. I've had this happen and usually if I just hit the door panel it starts working again, but I haven't had the problem in awhile.

Re: Electrical problem, shoebox?

Also, shoebox, keep in mind the clicking is coming from under the dash, where the knee panel is. Let me describe the clicking...

When I press the switch, as I release it, I hear two clicks. When I release it slowly, the 2 clicks are further apart the slower I release it. Could it be the express down relay causing the problem?

Thank you for your time, patience and help

The clicking comes from the express down module-also typical to what people hear when the motor is not working.

Re: Electrical problem, shoebox?

Ok, the switch tested fine, so I pulled the motor and that tested fine. Now what?

Put it back together and see what it is doing now. Did you take the motor out and test it? It might be inclined to work if there is no load on it.
