Re: Electric cutout problem

Im not sure that the motor is burned up, because I manually closed the cutout up and it opens like a charm. everytime But it just wont close. I did alter the wiring on my device. I was short one wire so what i did was cut the adaptor off the end of it and just run black and red wire all the way from the switch to the cutout.Would this mess me up?

Re: Electric cutout problem

I acutally figured it out but I have one problem still. How I wire dit was like this I cut the adaptor off the end of the motor and exposed the red and black there then after that I ran the black and red wires into the car into console where the cig lighter goes then I ended up connecting the orange from the cig to the red wire and the black form the cig to the black wire and this makes my cutout closed if I switch the wires around and make red to black and black to red the cutout opens How do I incorperate the switch? Where does it fit in so I dont have to hotwire my cutout each time?

Re: Electric cutout problem

Radio shack has all kinds of switches. Tell them what you need and the tech=o geeks there will hook you up.

Re: Electric cutout problem

there is a relay in that harness I believe. I really need to either see the wiring diagram or a picture of the wires.
