Electric Cutout Install
Wondering if anyone had any advice on installing an electric cut-out. I had the cutout welded in allready to my offroad pipe but havent had the chance to wire up the electric motor for the electric cutout.( I just had the plate out all the time, man is it loud ) Where should i run the wire from the cutout motor to the switch. Where did u run your 12v wire too? Any advice or help would be great thanks.

for the power supply, you should be able to run it to the fuse box, and just mount the switch wherever you want it your cockpit. i would recoment using wire loam to protect the wires. Hope that help's a little.

yea, I wired mine to IGN or ACC (cant remember which ) on the fuse box on the side of the dash. I put a 10 amp fuse in the power connection, ran that wire throught the dash, to the console where the switch is. I ran a ground from up under the hood to the console and connected it there, and I mounted my switch under the cig lighter.

I ran the wire through the little black plug in the floor board (I guess it's there to drain the water from inside the car) Anyway I ran it under the carpet and in the console. The switch is in the ashtray, and I wired the power by tapping it from the light bulb in the center console. This way as an extra coolness, I need to turn on my lights to use the cut-out, prevents the passengers to mess with the switch.
Very happy with my QTEC E-cutout.
