EGR unhooked?

Is it possible to leave it unhooked with out any adverse effects? Air doesnt seem like it would be an issue, just wondering about the EGR valve.

You can leave it unhooked and it wont hurt a thing, but you will probobly get the EGR fault code and the SES light.

Re: EGR unhooked?

The EGR system controls combustion temperatures. You might get some detonation that you otherwise would not if the EGR was working. Therefore, adverse effects are possible.

Re: EGR unhooked?

I run no EGR and disabled knock sensor, programmed to pull 0 degrees at all times.

I always run premium and have no problem with knock. I think you will be OK with a disabled EGR, especially if you have your knock sensor circuit working.
