Educate me on Rocker Arms
Educate me on Rocker Arms
I'm wanting to check and see if I've got any too tight or not. What I'm needing to know is the most simple way to go about this. I haven't pulled the valve cover yet, but figured I would since I've already got the alternator off, and my right bank is the one with the problems.
So, any takers on clueing me in on how to check? I've just never done it before.

If they're too tight, the car won't RPM very well...If it'll even run.
I tried a few different methods of adjustment with mine. I finally ended up doing it with the engine running.
Easiest way...Loosten until you hear chatter...Tighten until it just goes away, and then go 1/8 turn more. Some say 1/4 turn..I went 1/8 and I don't think mine is arguing too much

Well, I don't think they're too tight then. The car RPM's fine, just has that fuel issue. I thought I might have a valve not opening all the way causing a rich condition. I guess not......They're whisper quiet as is. Joe did a good job there.
Thanks Frank!
