Gregg, sounds like a nice exhaust your going to have Also congrats on the new dyno numbers, where did you have that done? You caught and passed me in hp, but are definitly kicking my *** at the track either way. Just for clarification, is 350 uncorrected? Your graph labels list Power, not SAE Power although the .97 correction factor is listed at the top.

Yeah, I got that idea for the bullet ORP from seeing yours I have it all ready to go just need to get it welded up soon. Both numbers were corrected I'm pretty sure, I beleive thats what the SAE .97 means. The TQ#s didn't print out on the graph for some reason but it reads 350tq in the dyno program, that was at Exotic Motorsports in Gap, PA last month. I just ran it at the AIS shootout last sat at Cecil and still couldnt pull an 11 out of it. I think I'm going to go with a stronger clutch, I'm going switch out the stock type SLP disc and replace it with the Mcleod single disc, I think it may help my 60' times some more. I've got a lot of passes now on that poor stock disc, I think it's hurting

I didn't list the K&N charger kit which I do have and did not list the Corsa exhaust because I ran it open. I actually think that dyno I used is a little higher than others would be, but I also think if I did a couple more pulls it would have gone up 5 or so. I did make a pull on the nitrous and the car did NOT like it at all. It fell on it's face... Too lean. I've got a kit that shuts off the nitrous flow if it gets too lean. I've got to find a little patience with this because I fear I made a mistake going with the dry Venom kit over the wet NX kit. I got the Venom because I got a "deal" on it... Hope it works out. Should see some deep 12's or maybe even a high 11 on a 100 shot. But I can't do anything now until I figure out the rear end. Damn thing is popping and binding...

sorry so long. : (

For you A4 96-97 HotCam Cam Kit guys, I have a few questions because its time for a cam...

*What aftermarket pushrods & lifters did you go with
*At what point do you need guide plates and which ones are you using
*Where do I get the "white spring" for the oil pump
*Should i get locking nuts for rockers and would it be neccessary to get new rocker studs
*Should i replace rear main seal, while the tranny is unbolted I might as well do a higher converter...2800-3000? and whats the difference between lockup and stall again..I forget
*For a valve body tranny kit, is transgo function reliable..I chose not to install my B&M cuz I heard it sucks....I want to chirp second gear..
*What gasket did you use for the intake edit: woops hello! I mean heads..also i've heard of guys using a thinner gasket to get that small compression gain

alot of questions I know..Thanks.

#1 I got comp cams hardened pushrods, (the $35 ones) and re used the stock lifters, they were in good shape.
#2 You dont need guideplates with the hotcam kit rockers, they are self aligning. Guide plates are for non self aligning rockers.
#3 I didnt touch the oil pump, not sure about that spring.
#4 The kit comes with locking nuts, didnt change the stock studs.
#5 I replaced the rear main seal when I did my clutch. Stall is the point the convertor engages or grabs (2800 etc) Lockup means it locks the converter preventing it from slipping putting more power to the ground.
#6 Not sure.
#7 Your thinking of the head gasket, thats how you can change compression slightly. I just used a standard intake gasket that came with the cam instal gasket kit I got from Thunder.

Dang... I've got a Hotcam, 1.6rr's, hardened pushrods, new lifters, Hooker shorties, and a DMH e-cutout and I only got 319hp/313tq. I know I had 1 plug wire that was burnt crispy-fried and another with black tape around a cracked spot, but that was it. This is on a fresh rebuild too. Wonder if something else is wrong.

If you had your heads port and polished what would that bring your rwhp/rwtq up to, about?

Re: dynoed my 94 with Hotcam kit today.

I pulled exactly 339 RWHP on my first dyno run with a HotCam. That was with a stock PCM tune. Pre-build dyno was 260 RWHP on stock LT1

Re: dynoed my 94 with Hotcam kit today.

why do all the torque numbers seem low? is that because of the drivetrain loss with the autos?

Re: dynoed my 94 with Hotcam kit today.

I put down 337rwhp with the hot cam and Edelbrock shorties.
My AF ratio wasn't nearly as lean as yours

Nice numbers. the hot cam is great with stock heads my best time when my car had the A4 was 13.0 @109
