I have heard all those before but never any real data to back it up. Kinda like the fuel pump trap do install. Some think it's the worst thing ever and some think it's the greatest.

 

I wouldn't think it would be safe. Spares are only meant to be driven on for a short period of time over the entire life of the tire. They are not made to hold as much weight and are not rated to a very high speed at all.

 

Heat is what kills tires like that. If anyone can back up the no safe claims with real proof that would be one thing. But this isn't the thread to debate that topic.

 

What's your brake setup? I'm looking for a spare to clear my C5 brakes.

 

Baer Brakes. (C5 calipers with the corvette machined off) So they will clear your's.
