you should have at least 20 psi at idle....at least that's what my 93 runs....if it's really cold it'll hit 80 at idle, but that's really really cold out...

you should be around 20-30psi at idle.. about 40-50psi at at about 2000rpm

your old post on the subject... explains why your gauge is pegged

LT1/SBCs can survive on surprisingly little oil pressure. GM spec is 6psi at idle and 10psi for every 1,000 RPMs.

If that is an accurate reading..just make sure you use a quality oil filter that can hold up under pressure.

if you go read shoebox post in your other thread you started on the same topic.. you will read that your sensor is grounded out, causing your gauge to peg... that means the sensor is bad or the wiring is faulted..

with the picture you gave in your other post, the oil leaking from the end of your sensor should tell you it needs replacing.

Did you read your other post? It is highly unlikely that your actual oil pressure is 80+. Like mentioned, continuity is likely lost and the gauge is pegged.

I just read somewhere that a bad sending unit will peg the gauge with a false reading on the f-body.
