Dyno numbers for bolt on only 95 Z28

Hey guys. i just had my car tuned by Byran from PCMforLess yersterday. The car is totally stock internally but has every single other bolt on. Before his tuning with the hypertwech it made 295 rwhp and 323 rwt. After his tuning it put down 311 rwhp and 344 rwt. I then opened the cutout and surprisingly it didnt gain any horsepower but gained 3rwt. All in all I was pleased. I picked up 16rwhp and 20rwt. The car does feel faster and now I can go for the record for totally stock internal LT1 w/6spd. I belive it is 12.48. Everyone wish me luck. November 11th will be the day.

Great numbers.. Glad to see another Bolt On Lt1 over the 300RWHP mark.. MIne threw down 309/354 back in the day and was trappin mid 108's @ 3900lbs.. w/a 4.11 Gear.. Get some weight out of the car that is your ticket to low et's w/ these things.. I was too lazy to do anything to take weight out..so i've never gone faster than a 12.73 w/ a i'm too heavy 1.91 60ft..

Great Numbers. It's good to see those numbers for a stock motor
running through cast iron exhaust manifolds and a cat. I'm about
in the same situation, but also had 1.6 rockers (pre cam change)
and could only manage 293 rwhp, so you are definately doing things
right. Are your numbers SAE or STP?

Sounds like you have a very strong running LT1 there. Where are you running around here on the 11th? I want to run at the Grove this Sat but its looking like rain now.

great numbers, so if you dont have headers, and still have a cat, what other mods do you actually have?

The numbers are STD On the 11th of Nov, me and 14 other guys are renting Atco to ourselves. the weather should be perfect and the track will be prepped with VHT. Good luck with it! 12.xxx is good for any internally stock LT1. Especially when you're doin it in a 6 speed!

Well i've been in the 12's for a while now...It really should be low to mid 12's on the 11th..I know SAE numbers are usually a lil lower then STD but in my case I dont think it would change much. I believe SAE correctrs it to 70 degrees and a few other corrections. The temp when the dyno run was 66 so its probably pretty close.

Re: Dyno numbers for bolt on only 95 Z28

Definately good numbers. The difference between STD (or STP) and SAE
is very close to 4%. STP meaning "standard temperature and pressure", which
makes your numbers 299/330. After my first dyno I found out the same thing
regarding the calibration. Most dynos are set up for SAE, but some, like the
superflow I used, was set up STP (or as you said STD).

If you have longtubes as mentioned earlier then I'm still hanging in there with
my stock exhaust manifolds through catalytics. I'm participating in a dyno tune
on Friday so it will be interesting to see the difference since I put in the Crane
227 and port matched the exhaust manifolds, oh yeah, and the 3.73s.
