Dyno Graph for CC306
what bothers and impresses me at the same time is your torque curve-
it only varries ~35ft lbs from 3000 all the way to 6000 rpms
i really thought the 306 would pull harder in the upper bands, especailly with such a big exhuast lope
or maybe its just pulling hard down low...
If i had to guess, no offence, but this looks like a hotcam dyno

Oh.. oops - my car is the blue lined dyno. 38X rwhp..
And both curves do have a slight dip in the same location, kinda like you point out Trey.

mustang dynos always post way lower numbers than a dynojet because the mustang applies loads and variables can be changed to make it more like real world conditions
you cannot compare a mustang dyno sheet to a dynojet sheet.
your e/t and trap speed is the real indicator of how well its running, and it looks like your heads might be the problem.

Hrmmm.. Only finishing in 3rd might pose a slight problem. What gears are you running?
On 28's I run 12.0's@115.... on DR's it's high 11's at 116 - 117mph was my best, in the same conditions I ran 115 on the 28" ET drags.
For comparison's sake anyway... No telling what my car runs now as I switced to the 230/236... But it does have more torque down low - vs. the 306............ and starts putting out more power @ 4800 or so.. Has 10rw vs the 306 @5800 - where it hit valve float last time to the dyno.

Seeing how it makes more power over the 306 indicates its doing something a little different! However, I wonder if this is the point where the extreme's "new technology" shows us that you can only push the edge so far (steep lobes + hyd lifters + revs) until you need to up the ante to a solid roller.

Out of ideas now. LOLI'm pulling the heads off once again next month for a full out race port and am going to join the solid roller club... Figure it might take a set of R's to make my car rev... I say screw it and pick up power all around.
FWIW, my car seems to be an isolated incident.. No other cars have the same problem w/ this cam that I'm having. ah well.

Shawn97Z28,
I am running 4.10's in my Moser 12 bolt. I was shifting at 6800 and the car still ran 12.4@109. I am thinking that if I get back to 26" tires and shift at 6400 then I should have a much longer pull in 4th which should help the MPH.
