Geez, aside from a lack of response to customer inquiries, I wonder what the hold up is in building these units?

Well on dyanspark.net looks like we got some type of response.

Dear valued customers:

We are currently backordered on all of our products. Our engineers have been working diligently over the last few months on improving our product line including both manufacturing precision and the quality of internal componentry. We are confident that these changes will be worth the slight delay. All components are being manufactured to our specifications rather than recycling OEM componentry. Our goal is in improving an already-reliable product line.

Along with the reinstatement of our product line we will also be offering limited lifetime warranties to all of our customers; past, present, and future. Warranty details will be posted at a later date and an official announcement will be made on our website.

During the backorder, we are still offering rebuilds to current customers. Please send all inquiries to DynasparkMAIL@yahoo.com in the interim.

Thank you for your patience and continued patronage.

Sincerely,
The Dynaspark Team

So, they're going to be using components they haven't used in the past in an effort to improve on the OEM design, much like Accel, MSD etc.? It will be interesting to see how that goes. The lifetime warranty is nice.

Hmmm... I would be pleased to see a warranty on my unit that died within a year and that they repaired last spring.

Although by nature and experience I tend to be a bit skeptical.

Did they not offer a lifetime warranty previously? If not, maybe the people that have had to have work done on older units will get a shiny new one. Nothing quite says we believe in our product like a lifetime warranty. I wonder if the fine print will contain any mention of dog years.

I don't understand why they would change something that was already a PROVEN working distributor! Its gonna end up like the MSD when it was new and had problems. If it ain't broke then don't fix it!

I ordered a DynaSpark quite a while back even though I didn't need it. I just set it on the shelf until I was ready to use it. Many times ppl. cannot afford to be out the money for setting aside parts but so many times I have had to wait on parts from other manufacturers that I've started doing this more.
