Yeah, up to '92. And yeah, 5.0 blocks start splitting up the mains after 500RWHP, but hey.... Brent did it so anyone can, right? Just like Rob's LS1.... it worked on one it should work on all of 'em.

regardless if any other ls1s have held up.im sure alot wont.but its an example of how strong ls1 bottom ends are.


fact is it did hold up and it supports my basis for it being strong.



i never claimed it to be the norm,i just claimed it happened.


i never made any claim of every ls1 built will make this kind of hp.i hope rob does more research and develops a kickass turbo for ls1s that make awesome reliable power.

This thread has gotten downright silly.

What I really think we should discuss is which hard-head is more durable. How many posts can they go without blowing? How much horsepower do the posts have? Is the old-school hard-head better or the newbie? OMG let's not even talk about their bottom-ends...
