Dumb question - PCV Valve
Dumb question - PCV Valve
I looked up the part number at Autozone - got home to put in the PCV and... it's wrong. The existing one is a 90 degree hollow connection to the valve cover - nothing more than an elbow. The one I bought is straight and internally spring loaded.
So, what am I missing? Is it supposed to be hollow? I guess I have the wrong part, but is the 90 degree connection supposed to have internals? Not sure what the deal is.

The PCV is located on the driver's side of the intake manifold, at the base about halfway back. The 90 degree elbow you're speaking of is in the passenger side valve cover; this hose feeds air to the PVC system. Shoebox has a photo for the PVC here: http://shbox.com/1/pcv.jpg
