Ok...everyone has had some sort of problems with their lt1 at some point...im asking each of you to kindly share your stories...even if it was something as simple as a blown fuse. This will help those of us who are trying to norrow down our possible causes.

When i first got my LT1 camaro I wanted to detail the engine compartment so my buddy gave me the bright idea of Engine Gunking the compartment. So after throughly spraying it down with the hose I soon was learning a WHOLE LOT about the wonderful world of OPTISPARK. Needless to say after taking mine apart after the bath I found it to be rustier than my dads 72 ford truck sitting in the grass in the backyard.

Faulty aftermarket ignition box (bypassed and the car started right up).

My friend had a faulty coil on his 96 TA that wouldn't allow the car to start.

Wouldn't it be easier to describe your problem and get opinions based on that?
This thread could go on forever with stuff that is not remotely related to your problem.

I had an ignition box problem as well that prevented it from starting... I forgot to plug it in.

a new accel distributor. the car ran will for a little while, and then a bang and then the car died. it took a little while to find the main problem. we found the rotor button had not been tightend all the way on from the factory, came off and broke into a million pieces.

I've got 323,000 miles on my 94. Where should I start?

OK... How about all of the above plus about 100 more!

Yeah and I locked my keys in the car once. That kept it from running...

Horrible exhaust leak because the mechanic that helped me put my headers on decided that it was a good idea to run a header bolt into the head with an air ratchet (never fixed, eventually led to me trading it in)

Had an MSD coil go bad while I was driving, the car just shut off. It would crank and not fire up. I took the coil wire and gounded it. No spark and I had no codes. Funny thing when this happened I was on a major road and within minutes 2 cop cars pulled up behind me. They pushed my car about a 100' feet up hill to get into a store parking lot until my buddy could bring me a coil from home. I wish I had a video of it!
