how do you read cam specs?? i know its intake/exhaust/duration etc.
but what do all the numbers exatly mean, whats better???
i am looking for the cheapest cam that will add good horsepower but still keep the car streetable.
what is the average HP gain anyway????

Here is a list of various cams, including the stock cam spec's for various years of the LT1.
Use new springs appropriate for the cam you chose. Don't reuse stock ones or try to use new stockers on a bigger cam. I'd suggest you get in touch with one (or more) of the speed shops like Thunder Racing, Combo Motorsports, Nu-Tek, and so forth. Any of them will be more than happy to help you come up with a cam and valvetrain package for your application.

Has anyone looked at the STOCK 95LT1 spec, it does not look right, says duration 230/208 ??? More intake than exhaust?
maybe that should be 203/208??
