I'm putting dual valve springs on my car part CC 987. There's one difficulty I can't seem to find a valve seal with a good fit. I did find one that fit under there but there was none too much clearance. Does anybody know of a valve seal that fits well? Thanks!

What part is interfering with the seal?

The innerspring hits the valve seal. otherwise it fits on the stem ok. I've found some that don't hiit. They have clearance for the inner spring to fit over. However, the machine shop tells me they won't work and they need to remachine my valve guides for a smaller seal.

they told me when the spring gets compressed it will deform and hit the valve seal. Which has me confused. How does a spring deform? Also it shouldn't walk as I'm buying cups specifically for that spring and guide.

It's not uncommon to have to machine the guides to accept the seals. Just have them do it and don't worry about it.

I went ahead and used seals that were tight. Recycled factory ones on exhaust valves. The factory seals, actually fit like a charm w/ new springs. However, I couldn't find ones like it anywhere including the dealer. Anywho. It's all said and done now. Thanks for the help!
