As far as speedygonzales is concerned, I don't know what to say other than when I had the fault, the signal was not being sent to the coil to fire, so without spark it wouldn't start

My Red 93Z-28, Thank You! for that link. Looks like things have indeed changed over the past few years with respect to replacement parts for the Opti.

As far as what Speedy posted, don't lose any sleep over it .......... I know I don't.

Did you see the review of the part you posted from advance. You will

My point was the DTC36, according to the shop manual, will not effect the engine running and my experiment proved it. If you have a running problem, it must be from another source. Anyone who thinks it was the cause of the problem obviously missed something else.

Shop manuals very rarely are wrong. In this case it is not wrong.
