My car throws this code and i hate the fact that the light comes on when i drive then off goes my imagination thinking of what could be wrong.....Is this a common one what do i do?

 

There's something wrong with the exhaust gas flow through the EGR valve. Odd to even get this code on an OBD-I car, but it can happen. Check the EGR valve to see if it is working, then clean the pintle off. Also check the vacuum lines from the intake to the EGR solenoid and from the solenoid to the EGR valve to make sure they are cracked.
