Dtc 22.....?

Well, this is the first time i have gotten this code. I was stopped at a stoplight and the Z was idleing at about 600-700 which is about right for it at lights. When it turned green, i went and in a few seconds i got the check engine light...so i drove it home and it seemed to be running fine(exept for the low 400-500 idle problem i still have)

I ground tested for codes and got the usual 46 (lean code) thats been stuck with it for a while and a new one...DTC 22.

I dont really have an idea of what would be causing the low voltage to the tps. it is brand new... I have butt connectors on a few of the wires leading to it as someone before me cut them...???

Could anyone point me in the right direction for this problem!!??

Thanks for all the help guys it is really appreciated.!

I would loose the butt connectors, and solder/shrink wrap those wires. I've seen badly done crimp connectors cause a lot of headaches.

The code sets when the signal voltage is below 0.20V for three seconds. Something it interrupting the circuit. Bad connections, as noted in the post above could explain it. Put a volt meter on it and move the sensor through its operating range, jiggle the wires, etc.

ok i will do that and get back to you.

would you by chance know how much a shop would quote for soldering about 6-7 wires together rather than using the butt connectors?

Edit: would this problem be a sympton of the 300-500 bogged down idle i have after running the car for a while?
