DS vibe?

After I swapped my Aluminum for a steel DS I have been getting some bad vibrations at 80+..When the DS was made they computer balanced it so I dont think its out of balance? Is there a certain torque spec I am supposed to tighten my U-Joints with on my Moser rear end? I just tighten them as fas as I can go..I even turned the DS 180 degrees and its still there..

Any thought/suggestions?

Cody

LT1 steel driveshafts are known to vibrate above 80mph...

You ditched an aluminum driveshaft and went with a standard LT1 driveshaft?

Steel is stronger than aluminum, and look what he has in front of it.

hehe....yup I didnt want to twist the Aluminum shaft so I went with Steel..So your saying its normal for it to vibrate at 80? Wonder what causes it..It bugs me crazy when cruising on the interstate..

Cody: Its the driveshaft. After I swapped in that rear I had my u-joints replaced and the shaft rebalanced. After that I got a bad vibration from 70mph on up. Swapped in an LS1 driveshaft and it went away.

FYI: Before I grenaded my rear end my stock driveshaft never gave me any vibes, at all. From my experience, the stock driveshaft is hit or miss...

I'd get a Denny's or Mark Williams.

You shouldnt be going above 80mph on the interstate anyway.
