Driving Me INSANE!!!
Driving Me INSANE!!!
Ok my brakes ( I think, pretty sure) are ANNOYING THE HELL OUT OF ME. They squeak and squeak and squeak whenver i hit the smallest bump or vibration. I have pulled all the Calipers off and used brake silicon on all the moving parts. It helped for about 3 days then it came back. PLEASE HELP, REALLY ANOYING. If you have any idea on how to shut them up id really appreciate it!
By the way they didnt start making noise untill i put new Rotors and Pads on the car (Discount Auto Parts Brand, BAD IDEA THAT WAS!). I think the Piston on the Caliper isnt coming back in all the way. Should i just have the rotors turned? Any thoughts would help!
You said during bumps but you don't say during braking or not. Seems bumps has more to do with suspension than brakes.
Obviously if you aren't braking and it squeaks on bumps its suspension. when you installed the new brakes did you perhaps get brake cleaner on the suspension bushings? Mine has a terrible suspension squeak FL from new urethane and not enough grease.
The rotor warp would give you pulsation when you apply the brakes. I don't know how long you've had them but they shouldn't be warped very quickly. they wouldn't have anything to do with squeaking over bumps. Peek in the back of the wheel to be sure the calipers are tight.
By the way did you pull out the pistons and replace the Oring in the caliper? Also check the pistons for galling. A small task when you're there for brakes anyway.
Let us know if the bumbs squeak when braking or not braking.
