Driving a 6-speed with an A4 computer?

Brian is still waiting for cores to come back to him and I might finish up the swap before I get a 6-speed PCM. Can I drive around at all with the A4 PCM in my car, and if I can what will happen. Will the speed be off, or just some check engine lights?

The speedo is going to be way off. The number of teeth on the T56 VSS reluctor (17) is less than 1/2 the number on the 4L60$ (40). The speedo will only read 42% of actual speed.

It will also idle extremely low, like 500 rpm.

I believe it will also lock you out of reverse.

Auto PCM idle is set at 550. Manuals are set at 800.
